Mission

CINSA's purpose is to carry out research and training in the field of environmental sciences.
The Consortium:

a) creates local sections and advanced research laboratories and constitutes research unit or coordinated groups at universities, university institutes, public and private research institutes;

b) promotes the development of scientific cooperation between universities and other public and private research organizations operating in the field of Environmental Sciences, both for research and for training;

c) promotes and supports national and international projects also participating in programs of the European Commission or other international bodies;

d) provides the
participating universities with equipment, laboratories and centers that would constitute support for the activities of the PhD and basic research experts preparation;

e) promotes and encourages, also by awarding research grants, fellowships and research contracts, training of experts in the Environmental Sciences applications;

f) initiates the transfer actions of the results of national and international research to application fields of environmental interest, by acting as a "focal point" for
interested companies ;

g) performs studies and research commissioned by government departments, public and private institutions, and provides advice and support related to problems in the field of Environmental Sciences.

h) promotes partnerships with industry to develop new environmental technologies

i) promotes and participates in educational activities (undergraduate, graduate, doctorate) in collaboration with study courses of member and external bodies University

j) Promotes the organization of scientific and cultural events and stimulates popular science initiatives in the field of Environmental Sciences

k) promotes any other action aimed at producing awareness and understanding in the society on the role of research and training for the sustainable solution of problems related to protection of the territory and the environment.
